The ServiceNow Engineer II designs and develops solutions within the ServiceNow environment to include new or modifications to applications, forms, workflow, policies, access control, interfaces, integrations and any other configurations required to support Service now processes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Works with various Service Now technologies including custom applications, workflows, integration, configuration, customization and orchestration • Maintains Service Now workflows and records creation methods • Implements vendor plug-ins from the ServiceNow Store • Participates new development, modification of the front-end, usiness logic and integrates with Web API/ Web services • Provides support, maintains and improves existing applications • Contributes to requirements-gathering and technical design of applications • Troubleshoots and solves problems as necessary • Follows source code and project tracking using ServiceNow, MSTeam Foundation Server or GIT • Adheres to the Company's design, development, test, implementation, and maintenance standards • Participates in project status meetings, as required, and provides project status updates • Coaches and mentors junior development team members in design, coding, continuous integration, and agile development methodologies • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or relatedfield) with 4 years related work experience, or Master's Degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 2 years of related work experience. • Experience in the following areas: ServiceNow, JavaScript, object-oriented design principles, relational database skills using SQL Server, report development using ServiceNow and a working knowledge of Windows Server • Experience with consuming APIs and Web services • Certification as a ServiceNow Application Developer or Administrator • TSQL Programming experience required • Professional knowledge of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle: including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations • Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills • Proficiency in the English language may be required
